TRAINING

Technical Skills:
Week one and week two will consist of paid, in-person, employability workshops, followed by one week of online driver training delivered by Transport Training Centers of Canada and 2 weeks of in-person practical, hands-on driving experience.

Pre-employment and soft skills:
Receive 40hrs of paid training on the following: Teamwork, communication skills, self-awareness, workplace success, harassment in the workplace, resume writing, job search techniques, interview preparation

EMPLOYMENT

EOTB will assist participants in securing employment within the field. Ongoing coaching is provided to assist with transition to employment. Mentoring incentives are available to employers who hire our participants. 35 hours/week for 12 weeks of wage subsidy incentive for employers.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

EOTB will purchase training on behalf of eligible candidates. All participants will receive financial support to complete a medical check, driver’s abstract and road test. Financial assistance may be available for items such as transportation, daycare, and work attire.

BASIC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Must be a Cornwall / SDG / PR or Akwesasne (ON) resident, be legally entitled to work in Canada and identify as a woman.
