TRAINING
St. Lawrence College is presenting the Office Assistant Program to help prepare you for employment such as office assistant, front desk clerk, administrative assistant or receptionist. This eight-week program will provide you with the skills employers are looking for! You will graduate with well-rounded knowledge and training in Microsoft Office, business math, communications, office technology and procedures, medical terminology training and employability skills.

Each student will prepare a resume, targeted cover letter, prepare for an interview, practice interview skills and job maintenance.

Employment
EOTB will assist participants in securing employment in the office assistant sector. Ongoing coaching is provided to assist with the transition to employment. Employers will receive a wage subsidy.
Financial Assistance
EOTB will purchase training on behalf of eligible candidates. Financial assistance may be available for items such as transportation, daycare, work attire.
Basic Eligibility Criteria
Must be a Cornwall / SDG / PR or Akwesasne (ON) resident and be legally entitled to work in Canada and either be:
Unemployed / under-employed and 15-30 years of age with a barrier to employment
OR
Identify as a woman
